For this assignment, students will work alone or with one partner to introduce themselves to the rest of the class.
This "Get-2-Know-You" should help us to know who you are and why you are taking a theatre class. You can tell us about your family, pets, favorite things, why you love theatre, any theatrical experience you have had, and so forth.
Show us some energy and make us want to know you! Humor and music are always a plus, and if you use props or costume accessories, that will make it all the more entertaining.
You can present this piece alone or with a partner (no groups of 3 or more). A partner presentation might be a scene, interview, simple dialogue, or any other form that helps the audience get to know you. A monologue could make use of puppets or you taking on the role of different characters with different voices. Be creative! Go for the applause!
The piece must be at least one minute in length. If two people are working together, then the piece must be a minimum of 2 minutes.
Students will be graded on the following components:
Dynamics - 10 points
Tempo/Pacing - 10 points
Enunciation - 10 points
Inflection - 10 points
