Day of the Dead

The Day of the dead celebration is a great contrast to American Holloween. Instead of fearing death, the Mexican concept is to welcome home the spirits of the dead for a reunion and rememberance.

Plaster bandages offer a great medium to create a mask that communicates a festive sense, while giving the students a chance to explore the scary element of death.
